St. Michael Indian School provides students from local Native American communities with a quality education that is rooted in Catholic values, is sensitive to Native heritage, teaches leadership skills and enables students to contribute in a culturally diverse world. Our school fills the need for quality education in a Catholic setting with high academic expectations for all students. On the Navajo Indian Reservation St. Michael School is noted for sending 90% or more of its graduates on to college each year. SMIS educates nearly 350 students in grades preschool through high school.
